The NASA Sounding Rockets Program Office (SRPO) plans, organizes, and directs the NASA Sounding Rockets Program (NSRP) – a program over 40 years old that has provided critical scientific, technical, and educational contributions to the nation’s space program. The SRPO is the primary program intermediary with NASA Headquarters, other government agencies, universities, and private industry. The SRPO has a vast array of responsibilities, including providing suborbital services, technical management for research and development, obtaining range services for sounding rocket launches, managing NSRP activities at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, and the Poker Flat Research Range, Alaska, and managing NASA University grants and contracts.
